Why choose
PRP at HM?
PRP therapy is a proven, minimally invasive treatment that tackles hair loss from within. We combine medical expertise with a personalised approach for results you can both see and feel.
PRP is entirely non-surgical. No incisions, no anaesthesia, no scarring. The treatment consists solely of a targeted injection using your own plasma.
No foreign substances, synthetic agents or medications are used. Only your own concentrated plasma with natural growth factors.
PRP therapy is clinically substantiated and is used worldwide by dermatologists and hair surgeons as an effective treatment for androgenetic alopecia.
PRP significantly enhances results after a hair transplant and also works excellently as a standalone course for those who want to slow down or prevent hair loss.
After three to four sessions, most patients see a measurable improvement in hair thickness and density, along with a noticeable slowdown in further hair loss.
After the treatment you are fully active the same day. There are no restrictions, no bandaging and no recovery time needed.
Your own blood as
the most powerful growth stimulant
PRP therapy harnesses the growth factors naturally present in your own blood. The process is completely pain-free. By concentrating platelets and injecting them directly into the scalp, dormant hair follicles are activated and hair loss is measurably slowed. No foreign substances, no surgery, no recovery period.
- 01Blood draw A small amount of blood is taken from your arm, comparable to a standard blood test. The procedure takes only a few minutes and is virtually painless.
- 02Centrifugation The blood is spun in a centrifuge so that the platelets are concentrated into a plasma five to seven times richer in growth factors than normal blood.
- 03Targeted injection The concentrated plasma is injected directly into the scalp using a fine needle, precisely at the areas where hair loss is active. The treatment takes 30 to 60 minutes.

From first session to
visible results
PRP is a course of three sessions. Here is what you can expect, step by step.
The first treatment
A small amount of blood is drawn, centrifuged and injected back into the scalp as concentrated plasma. The session takes 45 to 60 minutes. You go home the same day.
Stacked stimulation
The second and third sessions reinforce the effect of the first. Each round of growth factors further activates the follicles. After the third session, most follicles are fully stimulated and in an active growth phase.
Visible results
You notice measurably less hair loss when washing and brushing. Your hair feels thicker and hair density in the treated zones visibly increases. Most patients are already very satisfied with the results at this stage.
Maintenance and preservation
Because the underlying cause of hair loss persists, we recommend a maintenance session every three to six months. This preserves the results achieved and keeps hair loss structurally slowed. We tailor the schedule to your personal situation.
Transparent costs for your painless PRP treatment
We believe in fair and transparent pricing. The more sessions you choose, the greater the results and the lower the cost per treatment.

Everything about the PRP treatment
Honest answers to the questions you may not have dared to ask.
Who is PRP therapy suitable for?
PRP therapy is suitable for both men and women experiencing hair loss, thinning hair or a declining hair density. The treatment works best in an early to moderate stage of hair loss, when the follicles are still active but weakened.
Common indications include androgenetic alopecia, diffuse hair loss due to stress or hormonal changes, and hair loss following illness or medication use. PRP is also suitable as a preventive treatment for people with a genetic predisposition to hair loss who want to slow the process before it becomes visible.
During your free consultation we will assess your scalp, hair loss pattern and medical history to determine whether PRP is the right choice for you and which treatment schedule best suits your situation.
How many PRP sessions do I need?
The standard starter programme consists of three to four sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. This gives the follicles sufficient stacked stimulation to respond measurably. Most patients complete the first course within three to four months.
After the initial course, we recommend a maintenance session every three to six months, depending on your response to the treatment and the degree of hair loss. Without maintenance, the effect gradually diminishes as the underlying cause of hair loss persists.
The exact number of sessions is determined during the consultation. Patients combining PRP with a hair transplant typically follow a different schedule from those using PRP as a standalone treatment.
When will I see results from PRP?
The first signs of improvement are generally visible six to eight weeks after the first session. You will notice this through less hair loss when washing or brushing, and a visible increase in hair density in the treated zones.
The optimal result is visible after three to four months, once the full course has been completed and the hair growth cycle has done its work. Hair grows on average one centimetre per month, so it takes some time before the new growth becomes clearly visible.
Because PRP slows hair loss and strengthens existing follicles rather than creating new hairs, the result is subtler than with a transplant. The goal is preservation and strengthening, not a complete transformation. We always set realistic expectations before treatment begins.
Is a PRP treatment painful?
Most patients describe the PRP injections as mildly uncomfortable but not painful. You feel a stinging sensation with each injection, comparable to a regular blood draw. The scalp is sensitive, but the needles we use are extremely fine, keeping discomfort to a minimum.
On request, we apply a numbing cream to the scalp before the treatment. This significantly reduces the stinging sensation. The cream takes effect after approximately thirty minutes and makes the treatment very well tolerated by virtually everyone.
After the treatment, the scalp may feel mildly sensitive or tight for a few hours. This subsides on its own and does not require pain relief. Most patients go straight home or back to work after the treatment.
What should I avoid after a PRP treatment?
For the first 24 hours after the treatment, we advise not washing your hair so that the plasma can take full effect on the scalp. Also avoid intense physical exercise, saunas and direct sunlight on the treated area for the first 48 hours, as heat can interfere with the plasma’s effectiveness.
Blood-thinning medications such as ibuprofen or aspirin are best avoided 48 hours before and after the treatment, unless your doctor advises otherwise. We recommend avoiding alcohol in the 24 hours before the treatment as it affects plasma quality.
Beyond this, there are no notable restrictions. You can work, drive and engage in social activities on the day of the treatment itself. PRP fits entirely within your daily routine.
Does PRP also work after a hair transplant?
Yes, and the combination is scientifically substantiated. PRP accelerates scalp healing after a transplant, increases the survival rate of transplanted grafts and strengthens existing hair in the surrounding zones. Many of our patients combine both treatments for an optimal and long-lasting result.
The first PRP session after a transplant typically takes place two to four weeks after the procedure, once the scalp has healed sufficiently. This is followed by a course of three sessions in the subsequent months to maximally support graft survival.
PRP is also effective as long-term maintenance after a transplant. It slows hair loss in the non-transplanted zones and preserves overall hair density, keeping the result of your transplant intact for as long as possible.
